The Chief Minister of Telangana :

The Chief Minister of Telangana is the Chief Executive of our state of Telangana in India. According to our Constitution of India, Governor is the judicial officer of a state. But in reality, the executive power rests with the Chief Minister. But after elections to the Telangana Legislative Assembly, the Governor of that state usually invites the party (or any coalition) with the majority of seats to form the government.

But the Governor appoints the Chief Minister of the Council of Ministers who are collectively responsible to the Assembly. But as long as he has the confidence of the CM in the Assembly, he will hold office. But usually the tenure of Chief Minister is five years. Apart from that it is not subject to term limits.

But till now our Telangana has only one Chief Minister since the formation of the state on 2nd June 2014. He belongs to Bharat Rashtra Samiti Party. The founder of this party is K. Chandrasekhar Rao, former Minister of Labor and Employment of the Republic of India. He was sworn in as Telangana CM twice after winning consecutive assembly elections in 2014 and 2018.

K. Chandrasekhar Rao of Bharat Rashtra Samithi took over as the current CM from 2 June 2014.
